Awards Profile General Tab

The General Tab on the Awards Profile contains three child forms that help display, record, and add information to the Award. The three child forms are the following:

  • award entry fee
  • award stages/rounds
  • award judges

Child Forms

On child forms, you can see several icons that perform various actions when you click them. They are:

delete icon to delete a record on the child form.
grandchild form icon to expand or close a grandchild form.

  more info icon to see more information about the a record on the child form.
  linked headings to sort the records.
  refresh the data in the form.
  export the data to a quick report for download.

Award Entry Fee

A fee for entering a submission to be considered for an award.

To Add an Award Entry Fee:

  1. Go to Modules>Awards>Awards>Find, Query, or Add Award>Award Profile>General tab.
  2. On the award entry fee child form, click the Add button.
  3. In the Add — Award Entry Fee window, enter information in the fields in the Product Information Section as described in the table below:

    write off accountRequiredThis account is debited when you create a write off . This is typically an expense account or the revenue account for the product.

    If you check this check box the following happens:

    • If a product is deferred, the deferred account is credited at the time the product is sold. This account is debited when the recognize revenue process is run for the appropriate period.

    • If you have checked the ‘deferred’ check box on the product, it is not credited until you run the recognize revenue process for the period in which the ‘recognize after’ date for the product is included.

  5. Enter information in the fields in the Product Price Attribute Section as described in the table below:

  6. Click Save to add the award fee to the Product Name list in the Award Entry Wizard.

Award Stages / Rounds

A milestone that the entry must pass. There may be several of these before the entry reaches the final winner status.

To Add an Award Stage / Round, use the following steps:

  1. Go to Modules>Awards>Awards>Find, Query, or Add Award>Award Profile>General tab.
  2. On the award stages/rounds child form, click the Add button.
  3. In the Add - Award Stage/Round window, enter the information in the fields as described in the table below:

    stage/round description Required Enter a description that helps readers better understand this round or stage.
    start date Required Select or enter a date that the round or stage will begin.
    end date Required Select or enter a date that the round or stage will end.
  5. Click the Save button to add the new round to the child forms and return to the Award profile page. Click the Cancel button to return to the Award profile without saving your changes.

Award Judges

An individual who will assess the award entries in his or her appointed stage or round.

To Add an Award Judge, use the following steps:

  1. Go to Modules>Awards>Awards>Find, Query, or Add Award>Award Profile>General tab.
  2. On the award judges child form, click the Add button.
  3. In the Add - Award Judge window, enter the information in the fields of the General Judge Information Section as described in the table below:

    stage/round Required Select the stage or round this individual will judge.
    name Required Type the first few letters of the Individual's last name to see a list of matches. Or use the look up icon for a list of individuals.
    bio information Optional Type information about this judge that you want displayed.
  5. Enter the information in the fields of the Contact Information Section as described in the table below:

    address Optional Select an address from the drop-down list.
    phone Optional Select a phone number from the drop-down list.
    fax Optional Select a fax number from the drop-down list.
    e-mail Optional Select an email from the drop-down list.
    comm pref Optional Select a communication preference from the drop-down list.
  7. Enter the information in the optional confirmation status and area of specialty fields of the Judge Information Section as described below:
    • confirmation status: Select a status from the drop-down list.
    • area of specialty: Enter the individual's area of specialty that qualifies him or her to be a judge.
  8. Click the Save button to add the award judge to the Award Profile and return to the Award profile page. Click the Cancel button to return to the Award Profile page without saving your changes.
